Founder, Owner, Master Stylist
Maria combines extensive experience and advanced education at Tone Salon. A graduate of John Casablanca’s Institute and Suki’s Academy, she holds certifications in Balayage, Goldwell Colour, and Bellami Extensions. Maria focuses on creating custom hair designs that highlight each client’s unique style, while building genuine connections that leave them feeling confident and beautiful.
She welcomes both loyal and new clients to Tone Salon, where expertise and creativity meet.
Edgar Castillo
Owner, Master Stylist
Edgar brings more than 15 years of experience to Tone Salon, including owning a salon in Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico. After relocating to Vancouver in 2018, he completed the cosmetology program at VCC. Certified in balayage and precision haircutting, Edgar specializes in highlights, pixie cuts, vibrant colours, and blonde colour corrections, creating fresh, polished looks tailored to each client.
Edgar creates looks that help clients feel confident and beautiful, from bold styles to subtle enhancements.
Paula Bragais
Stylist
Paula is an experienced stylist with over 7 years behind the chair, known for her thoughtful approach and expert craftsmanship. She specializes in customized color, modern styling, and precision cuts for both men and women, creating looks that feel elevated yet effortless.
Whether it’s a bold change or a refined refresh, Paula is dedicated to making each client feel confident, seen, and completely cared for.
Deni Loverro
Junior Stylist
Deni is a graduate of the John Casablancas Institute’s Hair Art Design program. Deni specializes in blonde transformations and colour services, staying current with the latest techniques to ensure each guest leaves feeling confident and refreshed.
Outside the salon, you’ll find Deni exploring Vancouver’s food scene or spending time with friends, always seeking new inspiration and connection.
Abigail del Pio
Stylist
Abigail is a rising talent at Tone Salon, bringing warmth, creativity, and a client-first mindset to every service. A 2024 graduate of the Hair program at Vancouver Community College, she pairs technical skill with a strong background in front desk and assisting roles.
Abigail specializes in lived-in blondes, dimensional brunettes, and long, layered cuts, and she’s passionate about helping guests feel beautiful and at ease. When she’s not behind the chair, she’s likely out hiking, dancing, or enjoying nature.
Sophia Gazzola
Front Desk Coordinator
Sophia is the welcoming presence at the heart of Tone Salon, ensuring every guest experience runs smoothly from the moment you arrive. With a calm and professional demeanor, she keeps our front desk organized and our days flowing effortlessly.

Meet Mia, our beloved Australian Shepherd and Head of Pup-licks Relations at Tone Salon. At 10 years old, Mia may not be holding scissors, but her calm, friendly presence brings joy to everyone who walks through our doors.
Always ready with a wag and a warm welcome, she’s a natural at making guests smile and feel right at home. Mia is truly an irreplaceable part of the Tone family, adding a little extra heart to the salon atmosphere every day.
